Blood, Sweat and Tears,
constant heckling and nasty jeers.
Wrongfully convicted by a jury of
His peers.
When He gave up the ghost,
A soldier blatantly chose
To pierce His side with a spear.
That’s the same pain I felt when
the judge handed me sixty
years,
Blood, Sweat and Tears…
Thanks for this powerful poem. The Mission Institute has created a compelling 4-part series “Power of Lament” to help groups and congregations learn how to lean into this powerful tool of our spiritual lives. I wonder if you might be interested. https://gallery.mailchimp.com/e84f222132b59046c64d5336c/files/ebf8abc4-3ce1-4e97-a9be-e1039be15000/Power_of_Lament.02.pdf
